45th Anniversary of Geoff’s first Gig with the Band

On behalf of the band and fans worldwide we congratulate Geoffrey on the 40th Anniversary of his first gig with the band in Berne Switzerland on September 9th 1972.
The line up at that time was: Pye Hastings Richard Coughlan Geoffrey Richardson Stuart Evans and Derek Austin.
If you look under the “media” section and “videos” on the website or visit the official Caravan YouTube channel there is TV footage from one of his earliest gigs with the band in France (playing a new arrangement of ‘The Love In Your Eye’).
We thank you for your superb playing over the years and your crucial contribution to the Caravan sound that is still very much in force today.

We look forward to catching the band on their eagerly awaited UK tour in November 2017
Next year is the 50th Anniversary of the band!

London and Norwich dates added to November UK Tour

The band are delighted to announce another two dates to their November 2017 UK Tour
they are as follows:
Monday 20th November . Norwich Arts Centre
Wednesday 22 November Nell’s Jazz and Blues ,West Kensington London W14
tickets are already available on the Norwich Arts Centre Website
The London Tickets will be available shortly from the Nell’s Jazz and Blues website

Delivery update for August

We are really looking forward to playing in France at the Rock au Chateau and as well as having a few days off. Any orders placed on the Paradise Filter website after midday on 2nd August will be despatched on Monday 14th. For those of you who are coming to the festival we will have our merchandise there . Jim Leverton New Solo CD

Well, It’s like a London Bus . You wait for ages and then three turn up at once!
Hot on the Heels of Jan’s new Cd , and the imminent Release of Pye’s debut release Jim Leverton is releasing his own .solo Cd
Jim Is Caravan’s Bass player and singer
His new Cd is called ” Leverton Live at the Duke”
It was recorded at the Duke Of Cumberland in Whitstable, Kent on September 21st Last Year .
The Gig features Jim on Guitars and Voice , Geoffrey Richardson on Viola etc. and Martin Elliott on upright Bass .
The limited edition CD of 100 copies will only be available only be sold at Caravan’s gigs .

We are off on tour in Belgium, Holland and Germany on 22nd May. Any orders placed after midday on Friday 19th May will be despatched on 1st June. Thank you for your support and we hope to see some of you at the gigs. We will have our merchandise at the shows. Caravan.

I would like to thank everyone who has pledged so far. I am so pleased to have reached 95% of my target within 10 days of starting the pledge campaign. I am in the process of recording and as a thank you to everyone who has, or will pledge, I would like to offer an exclusive bonus track on the download, when I release the album. This track will not be available commercially and will only be available to pledgers. I will announce the track titles in due course, together with updates of guest musicians. From the band and all your many friends and fans from all over the world.
You are a true Legend , and you have inspired musicians and music lovers throughout your 50 years in the business.
It’s a great testament to the man that this band is still going strong after some 49 years .
Pye , you ARE Caravan .
you are not just the singing voice of Caravan , you are a superb Rhythm(and Lead ) guitarist .
You have written most of the songs in a catalogue of about 20 albums . You have written most of the lyrics .
On top of it all -you are a lovely man . very modest and a true professional. . An Inspiration to us all.
Here’s to the next ten years .
